Your wedding at Skala Eressos is created by and for you together with your Celebrant, Barbara.
What is involved? Apart from your vows/promise or commitment it is your day and you decide what else to include.
An example: Music The celebrant welcomes the guests and announces the brides Optional reading, poem or similar depending on desires and or beliefs The blessing – if someone is giving away the bride/s Speak Now The sermon or equivalent – personalised Consecration Exchange of vows/promise or commitment Declaration of Intent Exchange rings Pronouncement Kiss Presentation of the newly married couple
At a stage to suit the wedding certificate is signed and witnessed.
Types of Weddings: Traditional Contemporary Simple
With elements of choice: hand fasting jumping the broom, candle lighting, sand ceremony or other ideas. You are welcome to have your guests join in with the sharing of poems, stories, songs, and musical performances or in any other way to demonstrate the sharing of their happiness.
Before the day you will discuss your ceremony with Barbara by Skype. If your guests are joining in it is helpful to have a list of names. They can be called upon during the ceremony or choose their turn at the appropriate time.
Celebrants are also referred to as the Officiant, Mistress/Master of Ceremonies or Minister with the title Reverend.
Barbara has been ordained by the Universal Life Church and in many parts of the world the ULC is a legally recognised establishment and your wedding will be legally bounding. Weddings performed in Greece are celebrations and if you desire the legal document/license it is your responsibility to avail of your local register office.
